With this in mind, sessions will always focus on you as an individual, exploring who you are, what has brought you to this point in your life, and what the options and choices are for the future. Besides talking, there are different, more creative options, like working with figurines, sand, games, etc. However, these are all optional, and we would talk about whether this is appropriate for you.

Most importantly, you need to know that YOU are the most important in these sessions, and that your sessions can be used in a way that YOU want.

My Counselling Approach

I am experienced and compassionate, specialising in working with adults whose mental wellbeing is negatively impacted upon for various reasons (see also “What is counselling”).

I come from an integrative background, which means that I am trained in drawing upon various techniques to apply according to individual needs (like Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). At its core, my way of working is upheld by the humanistic principles believing in the intrinsic value of each person, and aiming therefore to value and empower each individual.
